Takarunga Walk
We went for a walk on Takarunga to look for signs of long ago Maori habitation. We found a kumara pit and some pieces of shell from an old midden. We looked to see where people could fish and grow kumara. We walked along the pathways made by people in the past.
Hockey Festival Day
On 8 September, we went out to Rosedale Park as the culminating activity for our Kiwisports Hockey Programme. It was a wonderful day and we all enjoyed the experience.
Visit by Jim & his Sheep
We had a visit by Jim who used to be the school caretaker before Dave. He brought some sheep and lambs from his farm. We talked about Spring and the rhythm of the seasons.
